Through my many years of self-employment, I have learned to be extremely well organised, diligent, work on my own initiative, and rise to any challenge which may occur. My excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills ensure that I can also work well with others. Having run my own business, particularly my e-commerce business for 10 years, have meant that I learnt all aspects of business from customer relations to order handling, digital marketing to website management, invoicing to book-keeping. By having to do everything required in running a business, I have had to learn all the skills which would normally be segregated in the workplace. My college education in marketing and subsequent courses have also meant that I could give clients advise on marketing strategies. My current role as an operations manager have added to my skillset through managing teams, working on tenders, generating quotes and works programmes, as well as dealing with HR issues. I understand fully the requirements of business owners having been one myself.
